More Than 50 Years of Local Water Treatment Experience
Since 1974, Michiana Water Conditioning has been helping homeowners and businesses throughout the Michiana area find better solutions for their water.
We’re a second-generation, locally owned company, and we believe that experience matters. After more than five decades in the business, we’ve seen a lot of different water problems and worked with customers looking for everything from basic water softening to more specialized filtration and drinking water solutions.

A Local Business With Deep Roots
Michiana Water Conditioning began in 1974 under the name Miracle Water Service Company.
Joe and Barb Ayrea started the business with a small storefront on Main Street in downtown Elkhart. As the business grew, the company moved to a larger location on Toledo Road in the late 1970s.
In 1993, their son, Jon Ayrea, took over ownership when Joe began stepping back from the day-to-day operation of the business.
Today, Michiana Water Conditioning operates from its location on Sterling Avenue in Elkhart and continues the family tradition of helping local customers with their water needs.
What started as a small local business has grown through years of experience, customer relationships, and a commitment to doing the job right.
